About the role
Summary Reporting to the Warehouse lead hand & Supervisor, the Material Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the flow and delivery of material to our internal customer, completing tasks in a timely, accurate, safe and cost-effective manner.
We seek a candidate who has a core foundation of integrity and is willing and able to use commitment and creativity to drive our organization towards success. This position is located in our Calgary, AB Branch.
4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Responsibilities and Duties
- Warehouse duties include but not limited to processing and preparing materials for our production team.
- Submit orders to buyers, vendors for material shortages within a project, ensuring timely deliveries
- Verify, record and stage materials in an orderly manner, preparing for assembly start dates.
- Forklift operation and routine daily inspections following weekly maintenance based on mechanical check list records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available upon request
- Coordinate movement of materials within the organization, ensuring they are deliver to correct locations.
- Accurate and timely processing of data on computer system.
- Provide legendary customer service with an emphasis on maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Maintain neat and organized parts, warehouse and yard area.
- Comply with all company Quality, Health and Safety regulations and work procedures; identify safety risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License. Must have a satisfactory driver abstract.
- Current and Valid Forklift Certification. Must be able to present ticket.
- Ability to multi-task, identify priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Must be self motivated, well organized and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively with all branch departments.
- SAP/ Success Factors knowledge considered an asset.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Must be able to work flexible hours and available for potential overtime.
- Safety tickets such as First Aid are considered an asset.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and D&A test is required for this position
