What we are looking for:
We are looking for a hospitality minded and experienced Bar Manager to immediately join our team at our beautiful Terroni Price location in the Summerhill neighborhood of midtown Toronto. This is a gorgeous multi-level location that seats over 300 guests with one of the city’s best roof top patios! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years hospitality experience working in a full service casual fine dining restaurant as a bartender. We are looking for an inspiring and positive communicator who brings a love of working on the bar leading and motivating a team of bartenders to curate exceptional experiences for our guests. A passion for Italian food and culture a must, wine knowledge and/or certification an asset.
Description of Role:
The Bar Manager, Terroni Price St. works as a bartender while simultaneously overseeing and leading a team of bartenders and baristas and collaborates with location FOH management to ensure the successful operations of the bar for the location. Reporting to the location FOH Management team, the Bar Manager is a positive and communicative team player who works collaboratively to see the location succeed from a guest experience perspective. Duties may include training bar staff, ensuring product and service standards are consistently met, overseeing the success of the coffee program, and managing bar inventory including alcohol. This is a fulltime position with variable shifts that are predominantly in the evening, including weekends and holidays. It is a great opportunity to grow and kick start your leadership career!
You bring:
- Minimum 2 years Bartending Experience in a Casual Fine Dining Restaurant
- Mixology experience
- Passion for Hospitality: Curating Exceptional Guest Experiences
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Experience with key operational systems such as Silverware POS, Clover, OpenTable an asset
- Coffee crafting knowledge an asset
- Working knowledge of Italian Language, Food & Culture an asset
