JOB SUMMARY
As directed by supervisor, fabricators are responsible for the accurate fabrication and assembly of all products that are put through our production facility with a focus on high quality and accuracy of orders
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
But not limited to…
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble Frames, Screens, Doors, Lockers, white boards, chalk boards and tack boards.
- Preps for windows and prepping for various types of hardware parts
- Cut glass and fabricate sealed unit kits as required
- Install glass in doors, frames and borrowed lites
- Read and interpret work orders, templates, blueprints or process specifications
- Sort parts, scrap, metal and other materials
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Follows direction & instruction from supervisor
- Follows all safety policies including wearing appropriate safety attire at all times
- Internally transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using joists and other devices
- Operate appropriate manufacturing and fabrication tools as required to complete assigned tasks
- May include forklift operation
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Welding experience an asset
- Ability to read and interpret work orders/blue prints
- Ability to read and interpret measuring utensils
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical strength and stamina
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 0-2 years’ experience
WORK CONDITIONS
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate hand tools
- Lifting of supplies and materials.
- Lifting of supplies and materials up to 50 lbs
