Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Enterprise Integration Engineer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our enterprise integration platforms while spearheading the development of a modern, cloud-native integration solution. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IBM integration technologies, strong collaboration skills to work effectively with external partners, and hands-on experience in designing scalable, cloud-based architectures using Kubernetes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, MQFTE, Cleo, and Attunity.
- Collaborate closely with external partners who support our integration platforms to ensure seamless operations and alignment with business goals.
- Architect and develop a next-generation, scalable, and sustainable enterprise integration platform leveraging Kubernetes and cloud-native, open-source technologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements, ensuring smooth data flow across systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, maintaining high availability and performance of integration workflows.
- Promote best practices for integration design, monitoring, and maintenance, including comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the integration landscape.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in integration and cloud architecture.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration, with at least 7 years focused on IBM ACE, IBM MQ, and MQFTE.
- Proven expertise in Cleo and Attunity or similar tools for data integration and file transfer solutions.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes in production environments.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their integration capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of IBM integration stack (ACE, MQ, MQFTE) including development, configuration, administration, and optimization.
- Proficiency in designing scalable microservices-based architectures for integration platforms.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for building sustainable integration solutions.
- Experience with API management, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and integration tasks.
Soft Skills:
- Collaborative and resilient, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with partners.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to optimizing integration processes.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in IBM integration technologies, Kubernetes (e.g., CKA/CKAD), or cloud platforms are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience transitioning legacy integration platforms to cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
- Knowledge of security best practices for integration platforms, including data encryption and secure file transfers.
