Torus Talent is searching for an HSE Area Lead – Pipelines on behalf of our large Vancouver based client. This long term contract role is a FIFO role on a 14-7 rotation in BC's interior.
We’re seeking an experienced HSE professional to lead pipeline construction safety for a major mining project. This role is field-based and critical to ensuring the safe execution of complex pipeline installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HSE performance for all pipeline construction activities (civil, mechanical, electrical).
- Drive field-level compliance with HSE standards, procedures, and hazard controls.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and leadership to promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor and report on safety performance across the pipeline work front.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of HSE experience in pipeline, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction.
- Proven field-based HSE leadership on linear or pipeline projects.
- Strong understanding of construction safety systems and hazard control processes.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in multicultural and multi-contractor environments.
- Recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting tools.
