Becton Dickinson (BD) has established a reputation for delivering exceptional value to our customers by providing educational support. In our ongoing commitment to provide education to our Urology and Critical Care (UCC) customers we are seeking BD In-Service Consultants (BICs) to join our Eastern Canada team.
To achieve the successful adoption and conversion of BD products within healthcare facilities you will collaborate with the BD account team comprised of the:
- Territory Manager
- Product Specialist
- Clinical Specialist
Additionally, the BIC works with stakeholders impacted by the product change to assist with product integration and communicates feedback to the BD Team ensuring swift resolution of issues.
Within the context of the BD In–Service Consultant Conduct and Communication Policy, BD In-service Consultants are responsible for:
- delivering product education and training prior to “Go Live” conversion date
- coaching during product adoption (“Go Live” periods)
- reinforcing site specific institutional policies and procedures (when required)
- Providing post conversion follow up support as needed
- Shift times not exceeding 8 hours
- Shift range 0700-2300 hours
These tasks will be accomplished using your knowledge of evidence informed clinical practice, knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical environments, and BD products/services.
The ideal candidate for this role is a healthcare provider with recent experience in urology and critical care including the insertion of a Foley catheter. Living within a commutable distance to a major airport is preferred. Ideally, the candidate will be provided with at least 4-6 weeks notice; however, shorter notice may be given depending on the project. This is a casual role and In-Service Consultants will be engaged on a per project basis regionally. We thank you in advance for your interest in working with BD. Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
- Minimum three years in acute care setting, critical care an asset
- Close proximity to airport is preferred
- Bilingual English and French is an asset
- Travel may range from 60% - 80%, overnight travel. Position requires flexible working hours
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards with at least 3-year clean driving record.
