About the role
NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy Planning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company’s strategic planning process and providing analytical support for corporate decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of business strategy, performance management, and executive communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update mid-to-long-term corporate strategy.
- Facilitate strategic initiatives across departments.
- Monitor and analyze company-wide KPIs and provide regular updates to C-level executives.
- Prepare and deliver strategic presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support budgeting and business planning cycles in alignment with strategy.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform executive decision-making.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings to align strategic priorities.
- Track progress of strategic initiatives and flag risks or delays.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and strategy tools (e.g., SWOT, Porter’s 5 Forces).
Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related).
- Experience working with executive stakeholders (C-level).
- Familiarity with manufacturing or energy industry a plus.
