Machine Operator (Perm, FT, Night)

Term: Permanent

Location: Onsite

Reports To: Plant Manager

Shift: Day, Mon-Fri, 9:00pm-5am

Pay rate: $21.12ph (after 90-day probation - $23.42ph)

*Night premium: $1.00ph

Overtime: > 40 hours; > 8 hours per day.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform equipment & process area inspection prior to production. · Safety operation of the Breddo blender, ovens 1 & 2, Cryovac, freezers, CIP system.· Setting up of unit equipment before production & at product change over· Product testing during start-up, in-process, & as required – solid check during batching· Collecting product samples as specified of sampling sheet.· Product monitoring & testing to ensure consistent product quality.· Closely observe production run & communicate with the production team, maintenance any unusual events observed with the machine.· Assess maintenance in performing basic repair of the machine/equipment when issue arises.· Securing packaging materials for each schedule SKU· Perform all necessary process documentation in a timely & accurate manner.· Cleaning of the equipment & workstation surroundings· Perform basic equipment PM e.g. opening, inspection, cleaning & assembly of the depositors, & hi-bar pumps, etc.· Perform temperature probe check & calibration of process equipment.· Servicing of the heating tubes· Relief fellow MO, crew breaks as required & other task as assigned by Supervisor/designate.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Self-starter, with proven time-management skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members

· Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours daily

· Ability to work in different temperature environments

· Ability to repetitively lift 25 – 30 pounds in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Education/Training:

· High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

· On the job training will be provided. Previous factory or line work preferred.
