Overview
Math4Me is a growing tutoring centre in Surrey, BC, expanding into STEM-focused summer camps for 2025.
We're introducing exciting hands-on courses across age groups (5-15) in areas like coding, robotics, app design, and creative tech. We're seeking a dynamic educator and curriculum builder to help us launch this new initiative.
What You'll Do
- Design engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities for:
- Ages 5-7: LEGO Robotics, Coding + Circuitry
- Ages 8-10: Minecraft Modding, Scratch Coding, RoboDojo (LEGO)
- Ages 11-13: Al Basics, Web Design, YouTube Content Creation
- Ages 14-15: Mobile App Design, Esports/Game Strategy, Intro to Cybersecurity
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, activity kits, and instructor guides.
- Train our tutors/instructors on running these camps effectively.
- Lead or support workshops directly with students during camp sessions.
- Help set up and suggest tools, software, and low-cost equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing or delivering STEM or coding camps (or similar workshops).
- Strong knowledge of at least two of the following:
Scratch, Minecraft Modding, LEGO Robotics, Python, HIML/CSS, YouTube Editing, MIT App Inventor.
- Ability to teach across multiple age groups with engaging, fun approaches.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
- A passion for empowering young learners in tech.
Bonus Points For
- Education or certification in Computer Science, Education, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with tools like Tinkercad, Unity, Esports platforms, Canva for education.
- Prior teaching experience in tutoring centres or tech bootcamps.
