About the role
Founded in 1995, The Tin Whistle Brewing Company was the first craft brewery in the South Okanagan, and is now the first carbon neutral brewery in B.C. From the beginning Tin Whistle has been dedicated to producing great beer that represents the Okanagan region. We are currently seeking part-time folks to work weekdays during the daytime (11am-7pm shifts are common). There will be some potential for evening and weekend shifts, but candidates must be available to work weekdays during the daytime.
About the job
We're looking for energetic, service-oriented craft beer lovers to join our team. Our taproom team is responsible for serving incredible craft beer (and other local beverages) while also helping our guests choose beers to go. We welcome locals and visitors alike, and pride ourselves on providing incredible customer service, while sharing the Tin Whistle story. Taking the time to greet and engage with our guests is important to us. One day this could mean providing “what do to in Penticton” ideas to a visitor, the next day it might be engaging with a local on how our beer is made or what makes a particular style unique. Our team also get the opportunity to serve beer at various events throughout the Okanagan including beer festivals, farmers markets, etc.
We’re looking for candidates who can multi-task, stay cool in a fast-paced environment, and maintain top notch customer service through it all. Teamwork, attention to detail, and communication is the name of the game. Special jobs (helping on the canning line, packing mixed packs, cleaning, recycling, etc.) pop up from time to time, so an openness to jumping in is an asset.
