Key Responsibilities:

As the Director of Care, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and managing the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
- Overseeing the development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Monitoring care practices and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
- Promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and respect
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external partners
- Driving quality improvement initiatives and contributing to organizational growth
- Managing staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for care team members
- Acting as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and their families regarding care matters
Core Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) Status
- Must be currently registered with an Ontario Registered Nurse License
Educational Background
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Additional certifications in Nursing Administration or related fields are an asset
Experience
-
A minimum of 2 yearsof experience as a Director of Care in a long-term care setting.

Proven experience in nursing management, including supervisory and financial reporting.

Knowledge of Relevant Legislation
Demonstrated ability in areas such as:

Resident care planning and delivery

Quality improvement initiatives

Staff training and development
-
Budgeting and resource management
-
Compliance and regulatory reporting
