What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the process of obtaining permits, licenses and approvals from appropriate authorities
- Manage the process of identifying, tracking and monitoring land/properties acquisition
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and government authorities (MTO, Region of Durham, City of Oshawa, CPKC) during design reviews, permitting and licensing
- Manage, review and ensure timely receipt of design deliverables from the client’s designer
- Manage, review and ensure timely receipt of temporary design deliverables from sub-consultants and subcontractors to ensure the project implementation in accordance with permanent design.
- Ensure the designs and technical documents are reviewed for constructability and in coordination with temporary works and contractors means and methods
- Ensure key design risks are identified and shared with the project management team
- Provide direction and technical support to operational staff and subcontractors
- Manage the Design and Technical documents distribution, Request For Information and any other technical processes
- Ensure the project deliverables are delivered in accordance with the specified design and quality standards
- Prepare any technical submittals
- Perform other duties as required
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related disciplines
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil design management /technical role on large construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and work plans
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills

What You Will Be Doing
