We are seeking a Journeyman Certified Flat Roofer with strong experience in torch-on roofing systems to join our team. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship on flat and low-slope roofs. This is for individuals who want to work with a reputable company on commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential projects.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Roofer Certification (Red Seal or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience in torch-on roofing systems.
- Valid Fall Protection and WHMIS (or OSHA 10/30) certification.
- Hot Works certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
- Able to lift 50–100 lbs and work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of torch safety and fire prevention measures.
- Install and repair torch-applied modified bitumen membrane roofing systems.
- Perform roof deck preparation, underlayment, flashing, and waterproofing.
- Use torches, seam rollers, and related equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain job site cleanliness and organization.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and local building/fire codes.
- Conduct and participate in daily safety meetings and fire watch duties.
