About the role
Assistant Director of Food Services for 160 bed LTC home in London.
To be responsible for all RAI/MDS, Care Conferences, Health and Safety, production and ordering, including Mealsuite, as well as assisting in the overseeing of meal preparation and supervision of dietary staff of a Long Term Care home. Training in food handling, budget control, therapeutic diets, and providing education is essential
**MUST have proof of Active membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
Responsibilities
- Effective and efficient administration and leadership of the team
- Maintain service standards and enhance quality of service and offerings
- Establish, communicate, train and monitor the procedures
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching and development of a successful team
- Manage scheduling in accordance with employment policies and budget
- Ensure that all payroll processes are carried out in an accurate manner
- Work with leadership to ensure that hourly associates clearly understand their job roles, responsibilities and performance expectation
- Address guest concerns, requests or issues
- Monitor dining room for service, safety and wellbeing of guests
- Complete scheduled inventories, stock and requisition necessary supplies
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Membership in CSNM
- Valid Food Handler Certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ food service leadership experience
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be computer literate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Reliable transportation
Vulnerable Sector Search, Covid Vaccination (incl. MMR), and TB testing
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 22.5 per week
