About this role
Working at Skip as a Salesforce Developer you will be responsible for working with administrators, developers and stakeholders to implement, integrate and maintain the Salesforce CRM solution. We are looking for a talented individual to join our Operations and Strategic Initiatives team which is focused primarily on supporting the Canadian Market.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto or Winnipeg office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Manager, Systems & Tooling
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Visualforce, declarative automation tools (Flows), SOQL, and integrating Salesforce with external systems via APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to solution design
- Proactively identifying and escalating potential technical issues or roadblocks.
- Contributing to and following established release management processes for deploying Salesforce changes.
- Contributing to problem solving efforts and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the development lifecycle
- Collaborating with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment.
What will you bring to the table?
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and extensive experience with its core development tools, including Apex, Triggers, Batch Jobs, Asynchronous Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Visualforce, declarative automation tools (Flows), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) for seamless integration.
- Salesforce Expertise: 3+ years of hands on Salesforce experience, including working in a non mature or evolving Salesforce environment and implementing scalable solutions
- Rigorous Testing: Proficiency in designing, writing, and executing comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and other test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.
- Problem Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Data Modeling & Management: Experience with Salesforce data modeling, data migration, and data integration.
- Attention to Detail: A strong focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of development and testing.
- Ownership, Drive and Adaptability: Passion for taking on ambitious projects, working independently or collaboratively, and delivering high-impact solutions in an adaptive and fast-paced environment without needing constant oversight.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Proactive & End-to-End Ownership: Ability to take full ownership of projects from start to finish acting as the Business Analyst, Developer, QA, and Trainer when needed.
- Strong Stakeholder Management: Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external partners
Must Have Salesforce Certifications:
- Salesforce Administrator
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce App Builder
