About the role
Position: Part-Time Community Support Worker
Reports To: Service Coordinator
Overall Responsibility: Providing flexible, customized, one on one support to two adults with developmental disabilities to participate in community activities.
The supported individuals require support attending their volunteer positions, going to the swimming pool, attending horse back riding and other community events and leisure activities.
Compensation: $22.00-$23.00 per hour (to start)
Benefits: Part-time benefits include a Health Spending Account, a Wellness Program, and Employee and Family Assistance Program.
Vehicle Use: This position requires staff to transport supported individuals in their own vehicles. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.61/km.
Schedule: 16 Hours per Week. Typical hours and days are (subject to change): Tuesday to Saturday - 10:00AM to 02:00PM or 09:30AM to 12:30PM. The applicant must be able to be flexible as the supported hours may change according to the need of the individuals.
Flexibility with scheduling is required and the candidate must be available 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM on Saturdays.

Job Requirements:
- Experience in the social services field would be an asset but is not required
- Clear criminal record check
- Safe driving record
- Valid Drivers License
- Safe, reliable vehicle to be used to transport supported individuals with appropriate insurance coverage
- Valid First Aid certificate (can be obtained during training period)
