The Opportunity
We are seeking a Corporate Partnerships & Sales Coordinator to support the Sales team in driving growth and sales opportunities, specifically revenue, related to corporate events sponsorship, large group sales, and tourism bookings. Reporting to the Senior Lead, Corporate Partnerships & Sales, this position will support and identify sales and sponsorship prospects through networking, referrals, outside sales calls, and other techniques. This role will focus on managing corporate volume tickets, large group ticket sales (over 100 people) and soliciting new groups and segments with an additional focus on sponsorship entitlements.
The Corporate Partnerships & Sales Coordinator will collaborate with various APC stakeholders and departments to assist in the bookings of FAM tours and catered venue spaces within the Park, Zoo, & Leaf for corporate clients.
Responsibilities
Sales and Service Coordination
- Management of volume ticket and gift card sales for attraction admissions and for special event admissions including prospect tracking, ongoing email communications, and coordinating volume ticket requests with the Guest Services department.
- Assist with new sponsorship prospecting and participate in business networking events (e.g. Chamber of Commerce).
- Participate in tradeshows by representing APC and the products we are selling.
- Identify new customer segments, products, and product presentations.
- Support the writing of letters of agreement, contracts, correspondence, sponsor benefit execution details in coordination with the Marketing, Communications and Sales team.
- Monitor all APC client activations and booking systems, e.g. telephone, on-line APC website, through email/fax and in-person.
Event Coordination
- Ensure sponsorship benefits are delivered, contractual obligations fulfilled, invoices delivered, events summary reports provided and confirm sponsorship payment obligations are met.
- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of sponsor benefits at APC events, including onsite activations.
- Act as event lead on corporate partner appreciation and prospecting events, working with other departments to execute events from start to finish.
- Provide a full wrap-up of the event including any final invoicing, reporting and customer satisfaction feedback.
- Coordinate post event follow-up, to encourage repeat bookings, referrals, and testimonials.
- Must work flexible hours, as required, in order to coordinate and execute events, including evenings and weekends.
Required Education, Training, and Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality &Tourism Management or a related field.
- Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and have access to own transportation.
- Ability to travel across Canada and North America, as required.
- Excellent proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and a demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new software programs.
- A minimum of 1 year of non-profit, entertainment, tourism or hospitality experience.
- A minimum of 2 years sales, marketing or customer service experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
