Position: Procurement Advisor
Location: Rocanville, SK
Schedule: Monday to Thursday | 10-hour days
Overview:
A global leader in the agriculture and resource sector is seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor for one of its largest operational sites in Saskatchewan. This strategic role is embedded within a high-performing procurement team that supports large-scale industrial operations and capital projects. This position focuses on source-to-contract activities, including the preparation and management of procurement documents, ensuring accurate scopes of work, and handling critical legal contract components. This role has minimal contract administration and is more strategic in nature, working closely with the Contract Manager post-contract finalization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead source-to-contract processes, including change orders and purchase order adjustments.
• Develop procurement exhibits, ensuring the scope of work is well-defined and comprehensive.
• Review and understand critical contract components, such as liability, indemnity, and intellectual property provisions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and contract requirements.
• Utilize Oracle and Ariba systems to manage procurement activities effectively.
• Support the transition of finalized contracts to the Contract Manager for ongoing administration.
• Maintain a high level of accountability and independence, with approval and guidance provided as needed.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and contract management.
• Proficiency in Oracle and Ariba systems is preferred.
• Experience in the mining or industrial sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of contract language and legal terms, including redlines, terms and conditions, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to prepare detailed exhibits and ensure scope alignment.
• High level of independence and accountability, with the ability to integrate quickly into the team.
