Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Risk Analyst.This is a full-time position based out of our Calgary head office and reporting to the Manager, Risk. This is a fast paced, deadline driven role that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Credit & Market Risk:

· Execute critical end-of-day tasks to ensure data integrity, accurate financial tracking, and operational readiness

· Perform the EKA end-of-day process, including uploading FX Spot, Interest Rates, Commodity, and Differential Curves

· Track outstanding daily Mark-to-Market

· Review and evaluate credit applications for new counterparties, assessing financial viability and risk exposure

· Provide recommendations and collaborate with the Manager and VP to finalize credit approvals in alignment with corporate risk policies

Contract Management:

· Prepare, review, and enter contract documents into EKA, ensuring accurate terms, conditions, and pricing

· Review contracts across Midstream (Gas, Power, NGL C3, C4, C5, NGL Mix) and Downstream (Crude Oil) operations

· Act as the primary liaison with external counterparties and service providers (e.g., ICE, Reuters)

· Monitor contract inboxes and respond to inquiries

· Lead onboarding of new counterparties, ensuring completion of compliance checks and required documentation

· Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, and Marketing teams to finalize agreements and contractual terms

· Identify and mitigate potential risks in contract language, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations

· Stay informed on relevant industry regulations and legal developments that may affect contract structures

Peer Training and Development:

· Evaluate peers’ knowledge gaps and provide targeted training

· Teach peers how to identify and address potential risks in contracts

· Share resources like templates, checklists, and industry guides for future reference

· Be available for ongoing support and follow-up training as needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

· Collaborate with different departments to support new business initiatives and growth

· Perform cross-functional project work and support audit functions, End-of-Day tasks, and the accounting groups

Special Projects, in addition to the core responsibilities outlined, may be asked to take on additional, non-routine tasks or projects as needed by the company, depending on current priorities or situations that arise
