About the role
Pliteq is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Industrial Mechanic Millwright to join our night shift crew. This position's prime function is to support the Maintenance Department through installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
We're Hiring for Continental Day Shift
- Continental Day Shift: 8:00pm - 8:00am
- Starting Salary: $42.50 /hour
- Continental Day Shift Premium: $0.50 /hour
- Work 7 (12 hour) days every 2 weeks
- Work every other weekend
- Unionized position
What You Bring to the Team:
- Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
- Completion of secondary school and a recognized Millwright Apprenticeship Program or equivalent
- 2-4+ years of experience working as a Millwright in an industrial Manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge an asset
- Hands-on experience working with pumps, motors, conveying equipment, hydraulic equipment and large industrial machines
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Working knowledge of local and Canadian electrical and safety codes
- Advanced working knowledge of electrical, PLC programming, and motor controls
- Utilize machine tools like lathes and milling machines to fabricate parts needed for repairs or modifications
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and manuals for equipment
- Problem-solve and execute solutions, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment
- Manage multiple task and prioritize while staying organized
- Work with cross-functional team members
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work at heights
- Demonstrated leadership and work ethic
- Adapt to changing priorities and working conditions
- Experience using Maintenance Software programs
- Counterbalance forklift certification and experience is considered an asset
- Elevated work platform certification an asset
- Clear criminal record check required
