Job Summary Deliver and evaluate learning and development modules in accordance with the organization’s training and development plan to ensure management and newly hired staff acquire the skills and develop the competencies required for the job.
Act as Ramp Service operations relief when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct initial Swissport Ramp training and schedule and perform recurrent training,
- Administer client compliance audit and operational evaluation in adherence with all applicable procedures,
- Maintain training files/records of all Ramp employees with compliance to established rules and regulations,
- Perform Quality Assurance functions, as required,
- Provide direction to Quality Control personnel with regards to training related matters,
- Develop and maintain training materials and establish training programs in accordance with industry best practices,
- Prepare examinations and progress reports for initial and recurrent training programs,
- Monitor and evaluate performance of all ramp employees to prepare and complete performance evaluations,
- Knowledge and understanding of the current collective agreement
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Competencies
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in ground handling operations,
- Minimum of one (1) year of classroom instruction experience or three (3) years On the Job (OJT) Trainer experience,
- Supervisory experience in leading and directing large work groups, and evaluating performance, (unionized environment would be an asset),
- Knowledge of Airport operations and ramp procedures is an asset,
- Be able to pass Transport Security Clearance (criminal background check),
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history,
- Obtain and maintain a valid airport RAIC and AVOP designation,
- Computer systems: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access) and graphic programs,
- All applicants must have previous experience demonstrating excellent organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills along a strong sense of sensitivity and team spirit
- Flexible to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
