Join Empowered Futures as a Quality Assurance Lead

and use your skills to help build support for personal and professional growth. In this volunteer leadership role, you'll oversee quality processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure our digital and operational standards remain high.

This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills and contribute to making a significant impact on individuals' lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and support the QA team to ensure high performance and accountability
  • Take ownership of team decisions and provide strategic direction
  • Attend and lead bi-weekly meetings with QA members to monitor progress and share updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality across all initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and quality reviews for compliance with standards
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Perform manual testing to assess functionality, usability, and performance
  • Track and report bugs using issue-tracking tools
  • Recommend solutions to improve QA processes and cross-team efficiency
  • Contribute to evolving testing frameworks and QA best practices

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related field
  • Previous leadership or mentorship experience is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with QA tools and methodologies (e.g., test plans, issue tracking systems)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive problem-solving approach
  • Passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working in a remote, volunteer-based environment with minimal supervision

This is a part-time, unpaid position with a minimum commitment of 9-12 hours per week.
