Job Description Do you have a vision for developing new homes and transforming communities? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join us at Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) at this exciting time. Having just launched our new Strategic Plan, “Building our Impact by Creating Growth 2025-30", it outlines clearly how we align national strategic priorities with local needs. As part of the strategy, we are embarking on an ambitious development programme to address the growing need for quality, affordable homes in the region and are committed to delivering a £77 million development programme of 300 new homes by 2028.

Created by Tenants for Tenants, we manage over 5,600 homes and are dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and community support. Our mission is to enhance lives and communities across the Scottish Borders. We shape our homes and services to meet the changing needs and expectations, and we drive sustainable growth to ensure a prosperous future for all. Our focus is to provide great customer experience and increase our supply of homes to tackle the housing emergency.

As Director of Development, reporting to the Chief Executive, you will join the executive team in leading the organisation and contribute towards achieving our vision. You will apply your skills and experience to collaborate on organisation wide priorities whilst also leading on the delivery of our existing development and regeneration programmes and developing our future opportunities.

You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in housing development and regeneration. You will demonstrate an ability to build meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders and lead and develop a team to successfully deliver large scale projects. We at SBHA recruit, retain and reward individuals who align with our values and One Team ethos. We invest in our people and would welcome applications from first time Directors.

We are also an equal opportunities employer, committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants. We celebrate diversity and provide a workplace where everyone is treated with respect and can thrive. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply.
