Job Description Department: UHN Connected Care
Reports to: Senior Program Manager, Connected Care
Location: Toronto Western Family Health Team, 440 Bathurst St
Hours: 37.5/week
Status: Permanent Full-time
Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Senior Analyst to join our team. Working on the Toronto Region Delivery Team (TRDT), you will collaborate with healthcare providers and health system partners to support digital enablement in the Toronto Region. Our goal is to increase adoption of digital health tools to improve access to healthcare for patients. The Senior Analyst contributes to the expansion and delivery of eServices through leading technical deployments and providing project and change management support. In particular, this role will be highly involved in delivering eReferral and eConsult solutions for primary care providers, and specialists from community and acute care settings. This role will support the advancement of digital health technologies, while building efficiencies into day-to-day processes. Strong organizational and communication skills, and technical acumen are essential to be successful at working with various stakeholders and contributing to overall project success.
Responsibilties Include
- Successfully support the planning, implementation and delivery of projects within an inter-disciplinary team environment, including with acute, community, and primary care partners
- Support project activities related to scope, schedule, resources, communications, risk, and development of resulting project documentation
- Regularly engage with project sponsors and stakeholders to collect requirements and to ensure success through project lifecycle
- Apply change management and communication strategies to multiple stakeholders and organizations throughout projects
- Perform assignments and special projects in support of organizational objectives, often functioning across disciplines and areas of expertise.
- Manage risks by balancing client expectations, project scope and taking early action to resolve problems
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of various alternatives and select or recommend appropriate solutions which are practical and thorough, to a wide range of complex problems
- Work with minimal supervision and report escalations as required
- Assist in the management and monitoring of project plans and budgets
- Demonstrate ability to oversee end-to-end assignments with varying degrees of complexity and projects with little supervision. Work with project managers to identify and resolve barriers and challenges
- Demonstrate critical thinking to ensure deliverables continue to align with project and program goals and vision; identify impacts of ongoing changes
- Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities
- Develop and present material for review and informational purposes using excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively
- Lead self and peers by conduct and example. Participate and contribute on assigned project teams or committees by assisting in the development of guidelines, procedures, or standards. Provide assistance and/or training to designated staff members
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business or related field; clinical background an asset. Post-secondary degree an asset.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in healthcare project management, public health administration, or applicable industry experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with digital health tools, EMRs, or HIS’ preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization)
- Project Management and Change Management certifications are assets
- Knowledge and experience in developing and executing communications and adoption plans (e.g., stakeholder analysis, communication strategies and tactics, awareness campaigns, gathering user feedback)
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Excellent analytical, prioritization, and organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of digital health
- Excellent presentation, writing, and/or training skills
- Excellent team building skills, listening, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient use of computer, software, and peripheral equipment, i.e., Windows, MS Office, MS Mail/Outlook, MS Project
