We offer over 1000+ board games and puzzles for sale and rent, along with events, parties, hosted game play packages for private and corporate clients, and much more. There is something exciting for everyone! We offer a great selection of coffees, craft beers, wines, and other beverages, along with various food options and a developing menu. We offer clients and workers a warm, positive, inclusive and safe environment. We are a husband/wife team and treat our customers and staff like family. Plus, you get to facilitate joy every day!
Job Description: As a Game Host/Hostess and Server at Funny Bones Games Lounge, you’ll create an unforgettable experience for our guests. You’ll introduce and explain games, serve food and drinks, and ensure everyone is having a blast in our cozy, lively environment. This role combines the fun of board games with the excitement of the food service industry, making it perfect for those who enjoy working with people, sharing their love of games, and creating an engaging atmosphere.. There are also opportunities to host events and/or Enrichment Programs for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Game Hosting: Welcome guests, assist them with game selection, explain rules, and encourage gameplay. Suggest games based on group size, age, and skill level.
- Customer Engagement: Foster a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and encouraged to play and enjoy themselves.
- Food & Beverage Service: Take and deliver orders, answer menu questions, and ensure tables are set for minimal space use while playing games.
- Event Support: Help with game nights, Pokemon tournaments/events knowledge a plus!, kids camps, after-school programs, and other special events.
- Maintenance & Setup: Maintain cleanliness, help organize games and tables, and reset game boards as needed to keep everything in top shape.

- Passion for Games: You love board games, know the basics of different genres, and are excited to share this passion with others.
- People Person: You’re friendly, approachable, and know how to make guests feel welcome and engaged.
- Great Communicator: You can explain complex game rules in a simple and engaging way.
- Reliable & Responsible: You’re punctual, can manage time well, and are committed to creating a positive experience for guests.
- Team Player: You enjoy collaborating with others to ensure the lounge runs smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Current College or University Student: Perfect for those studying in fields like Hospitality, Communications, Psychology, Education, or any major with an interest in gaming and customer experience.
- Availability: Must be available evenings and weekends, as these are our busiest times. Part-time hours to accommodate a flexible student schedule.
- Prior Experience: Experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar role is a plus, but a love for board games and an eagerness to learn is most important!
