About the role

DMS Management Solutions Inc. is currently seeking for an Account Administrator - AR/ Jr Property Accountant to join our accounting team. The Account Administrator works under the direction of the Accounting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of Residential properties for our clients in the North York area.

As a member of the accounting team, the key responsibilities of the Account Administrator - AR

include but are not limited to:

  • Full cycle accounts receivable function – charge monthly rent roll, move in/out tenant, prepare N4, lease renewal, and adjust tenant account as required.
  • Reconcile deposit summary on weekly basis, prepare and analyze tenant ledger as required
  • Manage in-house Purchasing system – set up new vendor, receive and distribute statement of accounts and maintain status of vendor with valid WSIB and Insurance certificates.
  • File paid invoices and tenant records on a regular basis.

As a member of the accounting team, the key responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

  • Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of Residential properties,
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (including Balance Sheet, Income Statement and supporting schedules) ensuring that deadlines are met,
  • Identify and analyze budget variance
  • Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliation
  • Review cash position ensuring cash infusion from clients would be necessary
  • Analysis of A/R & A/P and preparation of detailed account reconciliations
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation of annual operating budgets
  • Prepare and reconcile recoveries
  • Prepare year end audit working papers
  • Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management.
