Job Description R&F Construction Inc. – DKI is a disaster recovery, property restoration, renovation and construction company with over 50 years in business.
A Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing complex construction projects by accurately estimating and completing a detailed scope of work to ensure company profitability.
Duties:
- Using in-house software programs including but not limited to PSA, Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Docusketch, Hover, DRS, SiteDocs and the like, entering documentation including notes and pertinent information.
- Perform site inspections to assess property and determine requirements to mitigate damage.
- Determine the cause of the loss.
- Act as the main contact for all insurance adjusters and insured.
- Ensure available for on-call emergencies according to the rotation schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.
- Provide direction and work in a consultative manner with Restoration Technicians and Sub-Trades to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Scope and estimate using in-house estimating software (Xactimate) and coordinate losses in a timely fashion ensuring key performance indicators (KPI's) are met.
- Maintain written and verbal communication with clients throughout production including insurers, adjusters, subcontractors, homeowners etc.
- Report job progress, costs and any concerns to the Compliance Manager
- Review/manage budgetary components within the project and evaluate targeted gross margin expectations.
- Collaborate with Scheduling Department to create a budget for all rebuild projects and ensure that various costs are controlled.
- Communicate project completion timelines with customers, insurance adjusters, vendors and sub-trades.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience using XactAnalysis and Xactimate (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Project Manager position in Insurance industry.
- Knowledge of construction best practices.
