Reports To Supervisor, Recreation Complex Services
Department Community Services
Location Lindsay Recreation Complex
Hours Up to 24 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
Other Some travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes may be necessary in accordance with job requirements.
Job Description
- Prepare and conduct assigned specialized fitness classes
- Set up/take down of equipment as required to conduct classes
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Complete pertinent forms
- Attend staff meetings
- Promote division health and wellness programs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills/Education Required
- Experience instructing specialized fitness classes
- Recognized certifications required to teach related fitness classes
- Previous experience in recreation and/or fitness environment
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR
- Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, the internet and other related software
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, a Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required
