Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to join our team as Director, Controllership. This role provides enterprise-level leadership and direction for the Controllership function. You will be responsible for oversight of accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
The Director will serve as a key business partner to the leadership team, ensuring strategic financial alignment, and will drive operational excellence through the development and implementation of best-in-class financial processes and controls.
Key Accountabilities

Financial Reporting and Accounting Oversight

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
-
Maintain compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP)
-
Oversee general ledger, P2P, OTC, reconciliations, and consolidations
-
Provide contract and cost oversight for investment projects
-
Provide variance analysis and financial insights to leadership
-
Partner with the FP&A team to support analytical reviews of performance

Internal Controls and Compliance
-
Establish and monitor internal financial controls and processes
-
Ensure adherence to regulatory and tax requirements
-
Lead preparation for internal and external audits and manage auditor relationships
-
Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures
-
Support corporate governance and risk management efforts

Systems and Process Improvements
-
Drive automation and improvements in finance systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central)
-
Ensure data integrity, efficiency, and scalability of finance operations
-
Support finance transformation projects

Taxation and Treasury
-
Coordinate with tax advisors and our parent company to ensure tax compliance and timely filings
-
Support transfer pricing and international tax compliance
-
Manage working capital, liquidity and treasury support relationships with our parent company

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and mentor the accounting team

Build capabilities through coaching, succession planning and training
-
Foster a high-performance and compliant finance culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration (4-year university degree)
- CPA designation required
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven expertise in financial reporting and internal control
- Strong track record supporting complex business operations and strategic projects
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience with audits, risk management, and business optimization
Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and financial systems
- Experience advising senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to drive financial performance and improve operational efficiency
