Job Summary: We are hiring a Financial Controller for one of our clients in the Construction Industry! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller who is ready to lead financial and management accounting for our client’s general contracting and related businesses. You’ll manage the accounting team and ensure reports are delivered on time to the VP of Finance, senior leadership, and external financial partners. The successful candidate will understand construction processes like project accounting, over/under billing, and contract billing, and you're ready to help a growing company scale!

Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% in office.

Job Location: London, ON

Compensation Structure: $95,000-$115,000 per year (depending on experience) + excellent benefits packaging including health spend account + RRSP + more!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis for both overall company performance and individual projects.
• Maintain and update rolling financial forecasts.
• Supervise payroll, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) processes and support team members.
• Ensure timely completion of regulatory filings and maintain compliance with government and external reporting requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team, ensuring their work aligns with company goals and values.
• Support the VP of Finance and President on special projects aimed at driving company growth and development.
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes and performance within the role.

Skills/Qualifications:

• CPA designation required, and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• 5-10 years of construction industry and/or public accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage preferred), software integration, and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
