The Program Manager – Standards, Process & Tool will be responsible for the management of the standards, processes, tools, and governance practices for the global Solutioning Engineering teams.

This role ensures consistent, high-quality project execution, performance tracking, and supports a culture of operational discipline within the Solutioning & Engineering teams for the Rigid Packaging Business.

Your Primary Focus Will Be Around The

  • Harmonization of the group standards & processes
  • Development and execution of new tool capabilities, new process implementations for existing and new products.

In this role, you will understand and define business needs and requirements, translate them into deliverable capabilities, and execute with agility through a team of modelers/developers, while also guiding other development resources to follow the desired process (indirect reports)

The role includes direct management of two streams of experts within their domain and provides leadership and guidance to additional resources across the organization (project engineering/ solutioning, application team, prod engineering, project management, Digital Solutioning Team)

The Sales & Solutioning modeling team, as well as the Standard Engineering team are under the direct management of this role.

Responsibilities And Scope Of Role Standards, Process & Tools:

  • Act as the key point of contact with your team for standards performance-related inquiries (Facilitate / project manage multiple and often competing business requirements)
  • Harmonize group standard management
  • Assume direct responsibility for business owned Sales & Design tools (HSP, Tacton RP CPQ, PET Tooling & machine PSFs, design tools, etc.)
  • Provide a regular cadence of communication for all responsible tools & process releases (Sales Tools, Solutioning, Design, etc...)
  • Collaborate with IT/digital partners to ensure systems support the standards and performance objectives.
  • Ensure standards align with new product launch and product life cycle management activities
  • Document, groom, and define new capability requirements in an Agile development environment (Azure DevOps to manage CPQ releases)
  • Ensuring master business rules and pricing are supported and maintained by respective owners (PLM’s, PM’s, SME’s, Key Account owners, etc.)
  • Prepare SOX monthly compliance reports, participate in quarterly and annual compliance audits and process reviews.

Tools & System Enablement

  • Oversee the development, rollout, and maintenance of the Sol & Eng tools, templates, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with IT/digital partners to ensure systems support the standards and performance objectives.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and monitor KPIs related to standards performance and process adherence for the whole group
  • Challenge performance against KPIs and hold teams accountable to countermeasures
  • Lead standards "failure / coverage" root-cause analysis and implement corrective measures with responsible parties
  • Develop group standards management practices
  • Develop and support quote data & analytics needs
  • Collaborate with project managements for transformation requirement·

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act with your team as the key point of contact for standard-related inquiries.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to stakeholders on standards and tools management & updates

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of specialists in standards, process governance, and performance analysis.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in engineering (e.g. Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering) or business operations or computer science are preferred.
  • Project management certification
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (project management of medium-large programs)
  • Cross-functional business experience would be an asset
  • Change Management experience desired
  • Champion of automation, analytics, reusable platform and tools

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

  • Technical knowledge of PET processes and solutioning
  • Broad & expansive knowledge of Rigid Packaging, products, business rules, and pricing
  • Good experience of injection molding technology, tools and machines is required.
  • Knowledge of Husky molds & machines matrix will be considered as an asset (product offering & design)
  • Capability to understand all guidelines and standard interdependence (PART geometry, mold & machine business rules, design rules, etc.)
  • Product configuration methodologies and CPQ systems concept
  • Additional product knowledge of CSM Services
  • Strong critical thinking skills and creativity

  • Knowledge of Husky systems (CRM, MS AX, Tacton, Baan IV, LN, team center, UG Nx) and processes
  • Experience in Data management, machine learning, virtual simulation or statistical analyses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft365, good knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
