About the Role:
Vitacore is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the design, testing, and implementation of high-performance electronics and energy systems. You will play a key part in developing and refining electrical systems that interface with large high-voltage capacitors and support advanced printed circuit board (PCB) development.

This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about hands-on prototyping, building novel hardware solutions, and working in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, simulate, and test circuits involving high-voltage capacitors and energy storage systems
  • Develop and optimize multilayer PCB designs using industry-standard software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electronics integration, prototyping, and system debugging
  • Conduct risk assessments, thermal and safety analyses related to high-voltage systems
  • Generate detailed documentation including schematics, layout files, BOMs, and test plans
  • Support rapid iteration of hardware designs and prototype builds
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards (CSA, UL, CE as applicable)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in circuit design and high-voltage systems
  • Proficient in PCB layout and design tools (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Excellent problem-solving, hands-on testing, and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers is an asset
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, R&D, or start-up environment preferred

Compensation:

  • $80,000 – $100,000 annual salary, depending on experience
