Your role
- Providing bookkeeping support to our clients and internal professionals, including but not limited to posting, HST, and payroll.
- Handling various accounting service assignments, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and report generation from accounting systems.
- Efficiently managing compilation engagements, including direct client interaction for queries, requirements identification, and issue resolution.
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
- Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to multitask.
- Must possess critical thinking skills.
What you bring to the table
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience using Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping applications like Dext or Caseware is a strong asset.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Flexibility to meet the unique needs of our clients, including occasional travel to client locations.
- A team-oriented mindset.

This position is based in-person at our 62 Keil Dr. S. Chatham, Ontario in Chatham-Kent, ON. Hybrid or remote work options are not available.

Your schedule:
Monday - Friday with the exception of working Saturdays in April, and having Fridays off for the two months in the Summer.
Salary range:
Starting rate is from $23 - $25/hour
