Position Summary
All members of the Kenroc team will demonstrate respect and ethical conduct, will work safely, provide excellent customer service, and will work with the team to support superior performance in the achievement of both individual and company goals.
The STO Technician is responsible for the purchasing, tinting, and selling of all STO product. This includes preparing stucco-color samples and customized color-tinted stucco orders, as well as tracking and purchasing appropriate stucco inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands and ensures consistent compliance with company policy, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Tint STO acrylic stucco and formulate custom color STO samples, ensuring quality product and each customer’s satisfaction.
- Ensure STO inventory is replenished, calculated, stocked, and well organized.
- Organize, update, and maintain customer files.
- Maintain STO area housekeeping to ensure that the workspace is clean
- Organize product in the STO work area(s) to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure the STO machinery is maintained and serviced when necessary
- Produce quality work and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
As a member of the Kenroc team, employees may be requested to contribute to duties outside of the role’s main scope of responsibilities as per required qualifications, licensing, and safety certifications.
Skills & Qualifications
- GED (Grade 12).
- 1-2 years paint industry experience (color mixing & matching) is an asset.
- STO Program Training and forklift certification is an asset.
Competencies
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 75 lbs.
Pre-employment Conditions
- Consent to and pass a pre-employment drug test (Policy C-14 - Substance and Alcohol Abuse Prevention).

Kenroc Building Materials Co. Ltd. (Kenroc) is a family-owned business with 55 years of experience and 15 branches across Western Canada.
Kenroc sells and delivers drywall, ceiling systems, roofing, stucco, steel framing, insulation, exterior insulation finish systems as well as tools and other building supplies to both commercial and residential customers.
We buy in large volumes to maintain substantial stock levels which allow us to offer competitive prices. In addition to competitive pricing, we have our own transport company, Sexton Transport, which allows us to get the product to customers and other branches quickly without damage.
Our goal is to be the best building materials distributor in Canada.
