Gahan House Nova Centre
At the Gahan House, we believe in great beer, great food, and providing the highest level of service through our genuine hospitality. We aim to elevate the brew-pub experience for every guest by using fresh local ingredients in both our handcrafted beers and delicious food. The 'Gahan Experience' is a memorable one and that's because of our people, beer, and food.
As a Host, You Will
- Provide a warm first impression as you invite guests through the front door
- Ensuring guests have a memorable experience by seating them in a timely service with an upbeat and positive personality
- Book and confirm reservations
- Maintaining the flow of guests inside and outside
- Cleaning and resetting tables
- Provide support to the service team as necessary
- Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere
- Provide a lasting impression as departing guests leave - Ensuring they come back and visit us again
- Other duties as required
Who You Are
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Strong organizational skills
- Love for building strong relationships with team members, our guests, and the community
- Flexibility - Our hosts will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
- A desire to have fun at work - when you have fun, our guests do too
- Willingness to learn
- Please note we are looking for part-time and full-time, seasonal or permanent Hosts.
What You Bring
- Previous POS system experience is considered an asset
- Previous Host experience is considered an asset

MHG has grown to become a leader in the hospitality industry in Atlantic Canada. MHG now encompasses13 restaurant locations throughout both PEI and Nova Scotia, three Brew Pubs, three boutique hotel properties and the Prince Edward Island Brewing Company, a world class brewery and event space.
