The Joint Cannabis is looking for someone to support and assist our team members in our hiring department! The Joint Cannabis is a leading Cannabis Retailer, operating 15+ locations across the prairies, with continued growth and expansion planned for the foreseeable future. Duties:

• Uphold company policy
• Prepare and publish job posting on several job boards and make sure they match open positions
• Phone screen and advise on job requirements for possible candidates
• Conduct interviews
• Coordinate and participate in the selection process
• Notify successful applicants of next steps and decisions
• Organize and administer on-boarding and arrange training for new hires
• Execute offers of employment and all associated paperwork
• Maintain employee files, update employee data in HRIS and various employee databases
• Maintain and update employee information
• Other duties as assigned by departments

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented, organized, able to multitask, and keep thorough and accurate records
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to create and maintain good working relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Google Suite and Adobe (PDF).
• Proven record of taking responsibility and using good judgement, including exercise of discretion and confidentiality.
• Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative
• Self-starter with a positive attitude who is comfortable working independently and with a team.
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills

Requirements:

• Must be 19+
• Must be able to obtain Current & Valid Manitoba Smart Choices Cannabis certification
• Must provide us with a current Criminal Background Check

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time temporary contract position working 40 hours per week for 3 months.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Some evenings and weekends may be a requirement
• Overtime hours are available
