About the Role:

This position plays a key role in supporting global reinsurance placements across several classes of business, focusing on post-placement servicing and account management. The Senior Account Analyst will be responsible for processing and analyzing contracts, managing premium and claims transactions (both current and run-off), and ensuring accurate financial and data reporting. This role may also include mentoring responsibilities and participation in special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze reinsurance contracts for accurate system entry and transaction handling
  • Manage financial servicing of accounts including premium booking, collections, claims processing, and invoicing
  • Interpret complex treaty and facultative structures, including quota share and excess of loss
  • Calculate loss ratios, profit commissions, reinstatements, and other contractual adjustments
  • Ensure contract compliance, accuracy, and timeliness of all account servicing
  • Collaborate with global teams to support cross-border transactions and regulatory requirements
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff or new hires as required
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and project-based assignments

Qualifications & Experience:

  • College or university degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reinsurance or insurance accounting and claims
  • Strong understanding of both facultative and treaty reinsurance across various lines (e.g., property, casualty, marine, A&H, etc.)
  • Proven ability to interpret complex contract terms and apply them to financial transactions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas, data structuring, and analysis)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and less-structured environment
