Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Strategic Planning and Project Management team. You will play an integral role in our data and systems setup process, engaging with business partners and participating in projects and initiatives. This position implements processes and governance to ensure data integrity and data standards in our reporting tool as well as builds and leverages automation and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to drive efficiencies in day-to-day LRE tasks.
Responsibilities
- Act as a conduit between Loblaw Real Estate (LRE) departments, Loblaw Technology and Analytics (LTA) & LRE Leadership team to clarify and translate business and or operational requirements into technical documentation and conceptual report designs
- Recommend and facilitate development of reports and application features (regular & ad-hoc)
- Develop, run, validate and review reports, analyze trends, monitor and maximize operational excellence, and summarize analyses for report end users
- Deliver said analysis & reports in the most effective way possible for the audience through PowerPoint and dashboards
- Create, modify, and enhance new and on-going data reports and scorecards
- Identify opportunities and tools for automation and building dashboards in PowerBI
- Maintain business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documentation for application and reports
- Assess impact to application and reports due to process changes and improvements
- Participate in Request for Proposal processes related to LRE workflows
- Document current and future state data, systems, and process workflows
- Contribute to ideas and actions towards continuous improvement of business processes, data quality and reporting within LRE
- Assist with data related technical challenges and perform root cause analysis for Power Platform reporting tool (the Source)
- Data steward for ensuring consistency and accuracy of data in LRE communication tool
- Ability to build and create new process to create efficiencies in the way we work
- Participate in day-to-day data entry and cleansing activities
- Leverage AI tools to automate, optimize and increase the accuracy of data across LRE functions
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Business or related field, or equivalent related experience
- Exceptional computer skills (MS Excel and quantitative and statistical analysis tools), including experience with Power Platform
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relational databases and querying ability using Advanced Excel, DAX, VBA Macro, SQL is a key skill
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Enjoys working in an environment of fast paced change and ambiguity
- Well developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- An extraordinary teammate with strong detail orientation is important
- Must be able to manage time effectively through flexibility and prioritization
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to take initiative and learn new skills
