About the role
Mint Music has been a fixture on Toronto’s recording and music education scene for many years. Founded in 1996 by Toronto musician, producer and entrepreneur Glen Alan, Mint Music has grown to incorporate a music school with 3 Toronto locations, a world class recording studio that offers video production and event services employing a staff of over 30 people.
Ideal Candidate
- 2 years minimum of administrative experience, preferably in the arts and culture industry
- Ability to work primarily evenings and weekends is a must
- You are interested in music or teaching music to developing minds
- You are a confident, strategic, creative thinker, who is not afraid of asking questions
- You are deadline-driven
- You can work independently, as well as resourceful and are a self-starter
- You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion
- Regularly coordinating and communicating with admin staff, teachers and students to ensure the smooth operation of the school and recording studio
- Proven track record of strong interpersonal and public relation skills
- Pleasant telephone manner is a must
- Experience in MyMusicStaff or willingness to learn is extremely important https://www.mymusicstaff.com/
- Experience working with Google Suite
- Experience in Microsoft Suite
- Graphic design experience is a major asset and any work in this regard would be paid commensurately based on your experience and skill set
Job Description
- Coordinate and follow up with parents and students about upcoming events
- 3- 9 PM shift length during the week & occasional weekends
- Interacting with clients while they are on premisis for lessons
- Create and send out invoices for upcoming school terms
- Follow up with possible prospects and new inquiries about registration
- Insure existing clients and students are registered for new terms
- Coordinate various social media platforms (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Meetup etc…)
- Oversee scheduling for teachers on My Music Staff
- Assist in scheduling quarterly Teacher/Student showcases
- Assist in booking venues for events.
- Create programming and set lists for events
- Filling out expense reports
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
