We are seeking energetic and outgoing Starter/Player Assistants to join our team for the 2025 Golf Season. As a Starter/Player Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable day on the course for all members and guests. By managing tee times, forming groups, accommodating walk-ons, and maintaining timely play, you will help deliver a well-organized and welcoming environment. Through clear communication with the Golf Shop, attention to detail, and upholding club rules and cleanliness standards, The Starters/Player Assistants set the tone for a high-quality experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
· Greet and check-in players at the starter booth or first tee providing service excellence ensuring everyone feels welcomed and has an enjoyable day
· Record and monitor power cart usage, including tracking cart numbers going out on the course and charging green fees and power carts as required
· Support first tee operations during club leagues and special events, assisting Golf Professionals as needed
· Maintain and promote proper pace of play by keeping detailed records, identifying slow groups and coordinating with the starter
· Provide transportation for members and guests to and from the golf course when necessary
· Periodically check the practice facility to ensure all users are members or registered guests
Qualifications:
· Must have a positive attitude with a proven track record of excellent service
· A friendly personality and strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with members and other employees
· A solid understanding of the game of golf and familiarity with golf etiquette
· Applies strong decision-making skills with a focus on safety, service, and efficiency
· Capable of learning and effectively using relevant computer systems and applications
· Professional and clear communication skills
· Ability to strive in team and independent settings
· Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation to our location

Additional Details:
These are Full Time and Part Time positions that report to the Starter/Player Assistant Manager. The successful candidate must have availability during the day and maybe required to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
