About the role

Position Summary As a Sales Representative at Grimco, you will be instrumental in managing the entire sales cycle, from order entry and prospecting to lead generation, closing sales, and fostering enduring customer relationships. Your expertise will contribute to expanding our market share within a designated territory by promoting our CORE products and leveraging Grimco’s competitive advantages in the sign supply industry.

This position is a permanent, full-time role with the hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00pm, located in Dorval, QC.

Key Responsibilities Sales Cycle Management

  • Achieve Performance Targets: Excel in both inbound and outbound sales activities, including chat support. Gather insights into customer expectations and market trends to enhance the overall customer experience. Share market intelligence regarding products and pricing with your Coordinator, Regional, or Branch Manager to inform strategic decisions.
  • Comprehensive Sales Oversight: Manage the sales process from order entry to closing sales. Accurately assess and respond to customer needs, proposing solutions that align with Grimco’s strengths. Maintain accurate records in Infor CSD (CloudSuite Distribution) and HubSpot.

Customer Engagement

  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide knowledgeable and timely service to both potential and existing customers. Promote CORE products and services, clearly communicating the value of Grimco’s offerings and the advantages of using Grimco.ca.
  • Lead Generation: Regularly generate and submit leads for the Hardware & Software team.

Inside and Outside Sales

  • High Volume Interactions: Handle 30+ inbound customer call/chat interactions daily, and proactively reach out to existing customers for 15+ intentional call outbound call interactions to drive sales and maintain relationships.
  • Face-to-Face Engagement: With managerial approval, visit 10-15 targeted customers per day to strengthen relationships and gather valuable feedback. Prepare reports on your visits, highlighting key wins, challenges, trends, and equipment.

Market Expansion

  • Stay Informed: Continuously update your knowledge of industry products, technologies, and the competitive landscape. Identify opportunities to grow market share and implement upselling and cross-selling strategies for A/B products. Lead with CORE products and Exclusive Brands.

Customer Experience

  • Ownership of Orders: Ensure timely shipping, accurate invoicing, and proactive communication with customers regarding order status and changes. Build customer loyalty through exceptional service and support.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Team Support: Collaborate with the Regional/Branch Sales Manager and Coordinator on sales activities and market insights. Assist with projects such as cataloging, sample mailings, and special events.
  • Proactive Reporting: Maintain effective communication with the sales team and other departments to ensure cohesive sales strategies.

Professionalism

  • Strong Team Member: Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a positive attitude. Develop a thorough understanding of Grimco’s departmental processes and maintain punctuality for all appointments.
  • Expense Management: Submit and business expense reports, focusing on cost efficiency. Spend Grimco money like it is your money.

Requirements

  • Experience: Experienced in managing the full sales cycle and customer relationships. Familiarity with cross-selling and upselling. Ability to understand customer needs and adapt/problem solve.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively, earning trust and respect from colleagues.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage in discussions.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills. A strong sense of urgency in addressing customer concerns and resolving issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to understand and adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes. Dynamic, curious, and enthusiastic personality focused on customer service.
  • Knowledge: Pursue opportunities to grow personal knowledge of Grimco’s business model and best practices. Focused on market expansion and growth opportunities for Grimco.
