Sausage Stuffer
Full Time
Hello! We’re Valbella Gourmet Foods – a traditional European meat processing facility and café nestled in the heart of the Bow Valley in Canmore. We started over 45 years ago with a simple love for fine food and a commitment to creating the highest quality meat for our local communities. Since then, we have grown into one of Western Canada’s best known meat producers and work with some of the finest hotels, restaurants and grocers in Alberta.
We love supporting the local economy and are always on the lookout for talent to grow our team. We’re looking for a Sausage Stuffer to join our production team! This is a hands-on position that plays a vital role in producing the high-quality sausages that have made Valbella a household name. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and love working with your hands, this could be the perfect fit. This role is weekdays only with an early 5:00am start (early finish!). Shifts are 8-9 hours in a cool, fast-paced environment.
About You
- · You’re organized and efficient with a strong attention to detail
- You’re comfortable with physical work and can lift up to 20kg
- You take pride in clean, consistent, high-quality results
- You can work early mornings and stand for long periods
- You work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- You have experience in food processing
- You share our passion for great food and craftsmanship
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare casings and ingredients for sausage stuffing
- Operate sausage stuffing equipment to company standards
- Manually tie, link, or clip sausages where required
- Ensure uniform product size and weight
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, GMP, etc.)
- Assist with cleanup and sanitation of equipment
- Support team members in other production tasks as needed
