Cascadia Metals is seeking an experienced and motivated Branch Manager to join our growing team. This role will be a permanent, full-time position and is located at our Hamilton branch.
The successful candidate will be a driven team member who shares our champion mindset and values. You will have experience in management, possess excellent communication skills, and have an eye for detail.
Skills:
- Positive leadership with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and team development
- Strong understanding of distribution operations, logistics, and inventory management
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/order management systems
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
OperationsDistribution:
- Working with the Operations Manager, oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure procedures align with Cascadia Metals' policies and safety standards.
- Have direct operational experience with steel processing equipment, (Slit lines and Cut to Length).
- Monitor and optimize inventory control, shipping/receiving processes, and order fulfillment accuracy.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to support operational efficiency and meet service level expectations.
- Assist in workforce planning and scheduling to align staffing with order volumes and operational needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment per provincial safety regulations.
SalesCustomer Engagement:
- With Collaboration from the Inside Sales Manager, support the inside sales team in generating leads, fielding calls, and converting opportunities.
- Seek and develop new business while nurturing existing customer relationships.
- Communicate inventory availability and new product lines to current and prospective customers.
- Work collaboratively with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure alignment between customer demand and stock availability.
- Maintain and grow strategic vendor relationships to support product availability and competitiveness.
LeadershipPerformance:
- Provide regular coaching and conduct performance reviews to promote employee development and engagement.
- Analyze sales and operational metrics to identify trends, improve performance, and meet or exceed budget targets.
- Partner with leadership to identify areas of improvement and implement operational best practices.
