Summary
The basic function of the Extraction Lab Analyst on the Organics Team is to prepare all water and soil samples for analysis on the appropriate instrumentation. This includes all preparation determinations associated with the final calculations. This analyst is also responsible for several extraction-based organics analysis.
Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday
- Full-Time (40 hours per week)
- Contract position (ends December 15, 2025)
Job Duties:
- Perform organics solvent extractions on water and soil samples.
- Maintaining the highest of quality when performing extractions and analysis, with regards to quality control samples.
- Maintain turn-around times (TATs) to ensure client jobs are reported on the specified date, including regular and rush TATs.
- Keeping a clean and tidy work area while performing tasks and cleaning up before the end of a shift.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of laboratory procedures.
- The ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- The ability to multi-task and handle instructions.
- Willingness to work overtime hours as requested.
Additional Assets:
- Bachelor of Science or Technical Diploma.
- Previous experience in a contract laboratory.
- Previous knowledge of the analysis in the following areas: Solvent extraction techniques.
