We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.
Location Address: Hybrid – 3-4 days a week in office
Contract Duration: 1 year
Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE
Pay rate: $50 - $65/hr + HST
Typical Day in Role:
- Drive joint application design solutioning sessions with our architecture, development, and security
architecture teams that inform high-level estimates for large and medium-sized incoming initiatives
- Facilitate gathering and design sessions with multiple stakeholders to extract
requirements, and turn them into use cases, user stories, sequence diagrams, etc. to meet
development and stakeholder needs.
- Create, refine and maintain the product backlog and associated deliverables, release backlog with
forecasted delivery timelines
- Bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business
alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (such as
reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints.)
- Help improve and drive our engineering practices by providing valuable input and suggestions as
to what works well and what can be done better
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

8+ years of relevant working experience, with 3-5 years of BSA experience, preferably within FI/banking

2+ years previous experience with Payments projects

3+ years’ experience in API documentation

2+ years’ Mobile banking experience

3+ years’ experience within an Agile environment using JIRA/Confluence
Nice-To-Have Skills:

Certified Scrum Master
-
Postman experience
Soft Skills Required:
• Good communication skills
• Stakeholder management skills
Education:
Post-Secondary, in a technical background preferred
CSM an asset
CBAP an asset

If you have a particularly difficult business issue, we have the people, processes and experience to build an appropriate solution.
