About the role

Reports To:

Body Shop Manager / Estimator

Position Summary:

The Autobody Disassembly Technician is responsible for performing a detailed disassembly of vehicles being estimated. The primary goal is to assist in completing an accurate repair and pricing estimate with correct parts by identifying all visible and hidden damage prior to the repair process. This ensures that the initial estimate is as complete as possible, reducing the need for administrative supplements and streamlining the repair workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform thorough and organized disassembly of vehicles scheduled for repair.

· Identify and document all visible and hidden damage to support accurate estimating.

· Photograph damage and disassembly process as required for documentation.

· Communicate findings clearly with estimators

· Assist in identifying necessary replacement parts and verify part compatibility.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.

Required Skills and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum 1 year of experience in an autobody or collision repair environment.

· Strong understanding of vehicle body structure and collision damage.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to read and interpret repair orders and estimate documentation.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
