Bayshore Home Care Solutions, Niagara Branch, seeks a Registered Dietitian to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide expert nutritional guidance to clients, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. You will work with individuals and groups to develop personalized nutrition plans, promote healthy eating habits, and educate clients on the benefits of proper nutrition.

The Registered Dietitian, under the direction of the Clinical Manager- Branch level, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, referrals for service and management of clients requiring dietary intervention, in accordance with professional standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide nutrition service to clients that incorporates all components of the therapy process model
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent client outcomes
Provide assessment and treatment virtually or in-person as required to a wide variety of older adult clients with varying needs including malnutrition, chronic disease management, enteral nutrition, texture modified diets etc.
Provision of health teaching, hand-outs, and consultation to patient and caregivers, including potential residential home staff
Work closely with the team and other resources to develop new programs to meet identified client needs
Perform regular, timely charting, reporting and communication
Record workload measurement data
Attend staff meetings and case conference meetings, as required
Comply with continuous quality improvement initiatives of Bayshore Home Care Solutions
Developing a flexible, responsive system to meet changing and competing demands
Demonstrate knowledge of Standards of Practice guidelines of Provincial regulating body
Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
Participates in proactive Health& Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health& Safety risks or concerns
Actively participates in and demonstrates support for continuous quality improvement initiatives
Positive work and attendance performance essential
Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
Complete other tasks as requested
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in dietetics, nutrition or a related field, such as food and nutrition science.
Registered Dietitian (RD) with current registration and in good standing with provincial College of Dietitians of Ontario.
Experience
At least three (2) years providing Registered Dietitian services
Strong knowledge of nutritional science and dietary guidelines
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with in-home assessments and treatments; and report writing an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary health team
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Ability to produce a clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening
Reliable transportation
