THE ORGANIZATION BC Housing is a provincial Crown Corporation that develops, manages and administers a wide range of subsidized housing options for those most in need across the province to address critical gaps across the housing continuum ranging from emergency shelter through to rent assistance in the private market and affordable home ownership. Identity & Access Management Developer: ($92,145.79 - $106,699.96 Annually) Position Summary Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Developer is responsible for evaluating and documenting the current (IAM) tools and processes, identifying and developing identity management solutions that align with business goals, and implementing improvements or new technologies to address identified gaps and inefficiencies. He/She/They also configures and installs custom sign-up/sign-in flows, provides technical support for internal and external users, and resolves issues related to access management, identity, permissions, and security protocols, while protecting sensitive data through robust security practices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE The successful candidate will have the following: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, or Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Considerable development experience in relation to Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms and its management, IT Security and technology solutions and services, IAM Administration , interacting with project managers, business analysts, as well as technical resources such as application development team members and users. E.g. Identity Federation protocols and flows for Open ID Connect, SAML, OAuth, Azure AD/Entra ID Integrations with Azure Services (Application Insights, API Management)
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the employer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge of custom policy development and configuration of all Azure AD and Entra ID suite of products including the use of Custom Attributes, Federation (BYOI) and others.
- Considerable knowledge and development background with Microsoft .Net , C# and JAVA to further customize and extend Identity related features.
- Sound knowledge of SOAP, REST API's & JSON payload.
- Sound knowledge of calling/securing web API calls from Custom Policies, Functions.
- Strong systems analysis troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical writing skills to effectively complete requirements, design and operational documents.
- Ability to translate business requirements into achievable solution requirement.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a larger team of business users and analysts.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion
- Ability and experience in working under pressure to meet changing deadlines due to shifting priorities
- Ability to identify, describe and resolve technical issues
- Ability to present information effectively during presentations, demonstrations and project meetings
- Ability to deal with confidential information using judgment and discretion
- Ability to design or write custom templates for the presentation layer of the flows.
