About the role

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Commercial Lead for Certifications to join our team in Canada. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across a range of certification services. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving our revenue targets, developing new business lines, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals for assigned certification services.
  • Identify and target potential clients, and maintain an active, accurate sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, accurate forecasting, and reporting.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and satisfaction levels. Manage client relations and communicate project progress effectively.
  • Identify new business opportunities and devise tailored solutions for clients. Actively travel locally and internationally to visit clients, attend conferences, trade shows, and fairs.
  • Oversee client P&L, quotes, offers, tenders, and service orders to ensure alignment with company policies and revenue targets.
  • Work toward the continuous improvement of KPIs as set by the company, ensuring high performance and achieving objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities, providing valuable insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Work closely with operations and delivery teams to ensure smooth handovers of sold projects and successful execution of certification services.
  • Help expand Control Union Canada's offerings, including services related to Cannabis, agriculture, aquaculture, mining, food safety, forestry, and other emerging sectors.
  • Liaise with global teams within Control Union and participate in networking meetings to enhance business growth.
  • Assist in any other tasks or duties as requested by the company.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in sales or business development.
  • Strong skills in sales strategy, client management, and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools(HubSpot) .
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.

Certifications Experience (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Knowledge of certification regulations and industry trends, specially agricultural ones (CanadaGap, Global Gap, Primus)
  • Experience in certification, audit, or related industries is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
