Summary of Responsibilities
The Program Manager is responsible for the Yamaha Motor Finance Program execution covering program development, system set-up, program communication & incentive payouts for retail finance, protection products (including the Safeguard other ancillary products program) and wholesale finance; and to complete other tasks assigned on an ad-hoc/ as needed basis. Program support includes:
- Research market trends among various banking organizations to develop finance programs pertaining to customer interest rates and dealer commissions.
- Perform market analysis on Yamaha sales competitors and develop recommendations for Yamaha OEM partners for special retail and subvention programs
- Supporting YMCA and Finance managers to prepare financial models, including profit and Loss (P&L) statements and evaluate financial performance.
- Develop sales and reporting tools used to support business decisions in a timely manner.
- Conduct research and data analysis on consumers, competitors, and the market to identify trends, enhance marketing strategies and identify areas of improvement.
- Act as a liaison with business units, sales, operations, technology teams and support teams Preparing and presenting reports and recommendations to Yamaha executives, including presenting ongoing pricing and program changes at the monthly product & pricing Committee
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Program Development:
- Collaborate with YFS Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure that all required information for finance program development is available on time, with lead times considered.
- Transform high-level directions from Managers into rate sheets and other program materials.
- Present ongoing pricing & program proposals to the Monthly product & pricing Committee.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to update pricing models and ensure YMFCA weighted average ROA is in line with target thresholds.
System (Agreement) set-up:
- Accurately set-up in the system (Siebel for protection products) all information needed to effectively manage and control programs.
- Provide cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Warranty, IT) with necessary information that will enable them to be informed of the finance programs and relevant platforms are updated (Website, Siebel, YDS).
Program Communication:
- Oversee the translation and internal review of finance programs prior to market communication and ensure all appropriate and necessary sign offs are obtained.
- Ensure that postings occur on time and appropriately.
- Support the YFS managers in cascading new and ongoing finance programs to the Business Relationship Managers, Dealer Service Representatives and Credit Teams.
- Manage finance program files and rate sheets posted on various market facing portals.
Incentive Administration and Payout:
- Ensure that incentive claims are thoroughly reviewed, processed and paid accurately and on time in accordance with the finance sales program schedule and guidelines.
Documentation:
Document SOP for all the above processes and update based on changes.
Experience Requirements
- Degree/Diploma: University/College graduate, and/or Industry experience
- Program of Study: Business or Marketing
- Years of Experience: 3-5 years
- Type of Experience: Sales and Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Support, Sales Administration, Program Administration, Microsoft Office, SAP, Vistex
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, teamwork).
- Ability to prioritize deliverables (in scope vs. out of scope), focus on task at hand and effectively manage time and workload.
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy (as it pertains to sales program qualification/eligibility guidelines & payout).
- Highly organized and comfortable with numbers, data, and system.
- Proactive, autonomous and a self-starter.
- Keen desire to improve processes and quality of output. Calm/collected, consistent temperament and effectively manages work pressures.

- Occasional travel within Canada
